“The past becomes our source of inspiration; the present, an arena of breathing; and the future, our collective aspiration.” — Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o

Fragments of time in spiral. A trace of movement, memory, and repetition. How does the body enter into a relationship with what it itself produces? It is the presence of an absence. Moments that have already passed and continue to fade away. A trace also of the future, an echo that announces itself before the sound. Trace as something that precedes and follows an action, while at the same time becoming a memory of what has already gone.

Traces, marks, waves, reverberations, trails, presences, ghosts, events. Trace like a path of sweat that runs through the body. It’s a flash of now that’s gone. Trace as choreography that dialogues with each space; Trace as a crossing and as a figure that is formed through the insistence of repetition. Trace as presence: of a dance of the now, of the diversity of bodies, of the ways of making-thinking-feeling-acting at T.F. Cia de Dança.
